Creating IK Chain of the Bone Structure
In this section, you will create IK chain of the bone structure.
1. Select
shoulder
_
joint
and
wrist_joint
using the CTRL key
in the Object Manager. Next,
choose
Character > Commands > Create IK Chain
from the main menu, as shown in
Figure 7-6; an IK Chain is created and
wrist_joint.Goal
is added in the Object Manager.
Press F1; the Perspective viewport is maximized. Figure 7-7 shows the IK chain created
in the Perspective viewport.

The
Create IK Chain
tool is used to create a complete IK chain for the selected joint ob-
jects in a hierarchy.
Next, you will change the icon of
wrist_joint.Goal
to make it clearly
visible.
2. Make sure
wrist_joint.Goal
is selected in the Object Manager.
In the Attribute Manager, choose the
Object
button; the
Object
Properties
area is displayed. In this area, select
Sphere
from the
Display
drop-down list; the icon of
wrist_joint.Goal
is changed.
Next, enter
40
in the
Radius
spinner. Figure 7-8 shows the
changed icon of
wrist_joint.Goal
