Rigging

After completing this chapter, you will be able to:

INTRODUCTION
Rigging is the process of preparing an object or a character for animation. To rig an object,
you need to add bones and controls to it. In this chapter, you will learn to create a functional
rig for a human hand and a table lamp by adding bones to it and later skinning it. You will
also learn the concept of forward and inverse kinematics and apply constraints.
TUTORIALS
Before you start the tutorials of this chapter, you need to download the
c07_cinema4d_r16_tut.zip file from www.cadcim.com . The path of the file is as follows:
