9. Choose the General button; the General area is displayed. In this area, enter 30 in the
Intensity spinner. Next, select Shadow Maps (Soft) from the Shadow drop-down list.
10. Choose the Details button; the Details area is displayed. Next, set the parameters as
follows:
Outer Radius: 8 Size X: 20 Size Y: 32
The Size X spinner is used to set the width of the Area light. The Size Y spinner is used to
set the height of the Area light.
Next, you will create a copy of Light.1 for the second window of the light house.
11. In the Object Manager, select Light.1. Press and hold the left mouse button along with
the CTRL key and then drag the cursor above Light.1 in the Object Manager. Next, re-
lease the left mouse button; a copy of Light.1 is created with the name Light.2 .
12. In the Attribute Manager, choose the Coord button; the Coordinates area is displayed.
In this area, set the parameters as follows:
P . X: -246 P . Y: 1133
After entering the values, the area lights are positioned in the Perspective viewport, as
shown in Figure 6-16.
