11. Make sure the matWine material is selected in the Material
Manager. Next, choose the Color button in the Attribute
Manager; the Color area is displayed. In this area, select
Subtract from the Mix Mode drop-down list and then enter
51 in the Mix Strength spinner.

The options in the Mix Mode drop-down list are used to com-
bine the color and the texture channel shaders using one of
the four modes in the Mode drop-down list. By default, the
Mix Mode is set to Normal .
The Subtract mode subtracts the color's RGB values from the texutre's RGB value. The
Mix Strength spinner is used to define the mixing proportion between the color values
in the Color area with the texture's color value. The value of Mix Strength is dependent
on the mode from the Mix Mode drop-down list.
12. In the Attribute Manager, choose the Transparency button; the Transparency area is
displayed. In this area, set the parameters as follows:
R: 65 G: 21 B: 21
Enter 56 in the Brightness spinner.
13. In the Attribute Manager, choose the Reflectance button; the Reflectance area is dis-
played. In this area, choose the Add button; a flyout is displayed. Now, choose Phong
from the flyout; a reflectance layer with the name Layer 1 is added.
14. In the Reflectance > Layer Color area, enter 16 in the Brightness spinner.
