13. Press and hold the left mouse button on matDots in the Material Manager and drag the
cursor on Dots in the Object Manager ; the matDots is applied to all the dots in the Per-
spective viewport, as shown in Figure 5-7.

Applying Shader to the Floor
In this section, you will apply shader to the floor.
1. Double-click in the empty area of the Material Manager; a new material slot is created
in the Material Manager.
2. Make sure that the new material is selected in the Material Manager and double-click on
the name Mat ; a text box is displayed. In this text box, enter matFloor ; the new material
is renamed as matFloor .
3. In the Attribute Manager, make sure the Reflectance button is chosen; the Reflectance
area is displayed. In this area, choose the Add button; a flyout is displayed. Now, choose
Phong front the flyout; a reflectance layer with the name Layer 1 is added.
