Applying Shader to the Dice Model
In this section, you will apply shader to the dice model using the Material Manager.
1. Choose
Create > New Material
from the Material Manager menu, as shown in Figure
5-3; a new material slot is created in the Material Manager, refer to Figure 5-4. Altern-
atively, double-click in the empty area of the Material Manager; a new material with the
name
Mat
is created in the Material Manager.
The
New Material
option in the
Create
menu is used to create a new material. By default,
the new material created is white in color and has specularity.
2. Make sure that the new material is selected in the Material Manager and then choose
the
Basic
button from the Attribute Manager; the
Basic Properties
area is displayed.
Enter
matDice
in the
Name
text box in the
Basic Properties
area; the new material is
renamed as
matDice
.
