Learning Objectives
After completing this chapter, you will be able to:
• Work with the Material Manager
• Use shaders
• Apply textures and colors to the objects
INTRODUCTION
The appearance of the surface of an object in CINEMA 4D is defined by the material applied
to it. The material describes how an object reflects or transmits light. When light hits an ob-
ject, some of it gets absorbed and some is reflected. The smoother the surface, the shiner it
will be. In this chapter, you will learn to assign various materials and textures to the objects
in the scene to make them more realistic.
