5. Choose the
Make Editable
tool from the Modes Palette; the
Scoop
is converted into a
polygonal object.
Sculpting the Scoop of the Ice Cream
In this section, you will sculpt
Scoop
using the sculpting brushes.
1. Make sure that
Scoop
is selected in the Perspective viewport. Next, invoke the
Subdi-
vide
tool; the
Scoop
is subdivided and the
Sculpt Expression [Sculpt]
tag is added in
the Object Manager.
2. Choose the
Pull
tool from the
Sculpting
menu. In the
Attributes
tab, choose the
Set-
tings
button; the
Settings
area is displayed. In this area, set the parameters as follows:
Size:
50
Pressure:
100
In the
Settings
area, make sure that the
Link Symmetry
check box is selected.
3. Choose the
Symmetry
button; the
Symmetry
area is displayed. In this area, make sure
that the
Local
is selected in the
Axis
drop-down list. Next, clear the
Z (XY)
and
Radial
check boxes. And, make sure, the
X (YZ)
check box is selected.
4. Press and hold the left mouse button and add strokes diagonally on
Scoop
in the Per-
spective viewport, refer to Figure 4-28.
5. Repeat step 4 and paint on
Scoop
using the
Pull
tool to create a stroke in the Perspective
viewport, refer to Figure 4-29.
