4. Select the
Link Symmetry
check box and then select the
Steady Stroke
check box; the
Length
spinner is activated.
The
Link Symmetry
check box is used to link the sculpting in such a way that when it is
done on one side of the object, the other side of the object is automatically sculpted.
5. In the
Attributes
tab, choose the
Symmetry
button; the
Symmetry
area is displayed. In
this area, select the
Z (XY)
check box. Next, select the
Radial
check box; the radial set-
tings below the
Radial
check box are activated. Select the
ZX
radio button correspond-
ing to the
Radial Symmetry Mode
parameter and then enter

and
3
in the
Number of
Radial Strokes
and
Radial Gap Angle
spinners, respectively.
The
Z (XY)
check box is used to determine the axis on which the object mirror plane will
be placed. The
Radial
check box is used to draw the radial strokes on the object.
6. Using the
Pull
tool, press and hold the left mouse button and apply strokes to the top of
the
Cone
in the Perspective viewport, refer to Figure 4-20.
7. Press and hold the left mouse button and apply strokes on
Cone
, refer to Figure 4-21.
8. Choose the
Smooth
tool from the
Sculpting
menu. In the
Attributes
tab, choose the
Settings
button. Next, set the value of
Size
and
Pressure
to
2.5
and
4
, respectively, in
the
Settings
area. Make sure the
Link Symmetry
check box is selected.
