The following steps are required to complete this tutorial:
a. Create the base model of the ice cream cone.
b. Sculpt the ice cream cone.
c. Create the scoop of the ice cream.
d. Sculpt the scoop of the ice cream.
e. Change the background color of the scene.
f. Save and render the scene.
Creating the Base Model of the Ice Cream Cone
In this section, you will create the base model of an ice cream cone using the Cone tool.
1. Disable the outlines in the Perspective viewport, if not already disabled, as done in
Tutorial 1. Choose Create > Object from the main menu; a cascading menu is dis-
played. Choose Cone from it; a cone is created in the Perspective viewport and the Cone
object is added to the Object Manager.
2. Choose the Object button from the Object Manage; the Object Properties area is dis-
played. In this area, set the parameters as follows:
Top Radius: 94 Bottom Radius: 0 Height: 457 Height Segments: 72 Rotation Segments: 72
3. Choose the Caps button; the Caps area is displayed. In this area, clear the Caps check
box.
Figure 4-18 displays Cone in the Perspective viewport.
4. Make sure Cone is selected in the Object Manager and choose the Make Editable tool
from the Modes Palette; the Cone is converted into a polygonal object.
