3. Choose the
Pull
tool from the
Sculpting
menu. Next, press and hold the left mouse but-
ton and move the brush downward on
Candle
in the Perspective viewport to add strokes
to the
Candle
, refer to Figure 4-8.
The
Pull
tool is used to extrude mesh toward the camera.
4. Make sure the
Pull
tool is chosen in the
Sculpting
menu. In the
Attributes
tab, select
the
Invert
check box in the
Settings
area, as shown in Figure 4-9.
The
Invert
check box is used to reverse the effect of the brush. It pushes down the points
of the surface.
5. Again, press and hold the left mouse button and move the brush downwards on
Candle
in the Perspective viewport, refer to Figure 4-10.
6. Choose the
Wax
tool from the
Sculpting
menu. Next, press and hold the left mouse but-
ton and add strokes on the top of
Candle
, as shown in Figure 4-11.
The
Wax
tool is used to apply or remove the effect of material from the surface of the ob-
ject. It can be compared to applying or removing clay or wax on a real-world object.
7. Choose the
Inflate
tool from the
Sculpting
menu. In the
Attributes
tab, select the
Steady Stroke
check box in the
Settings
area and enter
7
in the
Length
spinner. Next,
press and hold the left mouse button and add strokes at the bottom of
Candle
in the Per-
spective viewport, refer to Figure 4-12.
