were observed when the user fully opened the windows in the morning (e.g. on 19 July
in the ground floor west office in Figure 3.18). However, the rapid rise in temperature
after closing the windows showed that only the air was cooled, and the storage masses
could not be discharged during this time.
Generally the daytime temperature level at the ceiling near the window is about 1 K
higher than close to the inner door, but also nearly 1 K cooler after night ventilation,
as the mechanical ventilation directs the cool air towards the window at the ceiling
(see Figure 3.17). The ceiling temperature difference is 3 K between day and night.
The temperature at the ceiling near the window has a daily maximum at 11:00, after
