it is difficult to obtain reliable information about installation and system integration
costs. Therefore, two simulation runs were done with different cost assumptions for
installation and integration. The first simulations were done with very low installa-
tion costs at 5% of total investment plus 12% for system integration. The results are
shown in Figures 6.24, 6.25 and 6.26. A second round of simulations is based on 25%
installation and 20% system integration costs (for results see Figure 6.27).
The total costs per megawatt hour of cold produced C total are obtained by summing
the chiller cost C chiller , the solar costs C solar , the auxiliary heating costs C aux and the
costs for cooling water production C cooling . The costs for heating have to be divided
