the fixed coupling of the driving temperature with the temperature of the heat source
and heat sink and the COP not being larger than 1.0 independent of temperature lifting
(Ziegler, 1998). The aim of multi-stage processes is to overcome these restrictions.
Several types of absorption cooling machines are available on the market:
single effect (SE) and double effect (DE) ACMs (Figure 5.3) with the working pair
