Network Service Runs the command or script with the same level of access as the
user and has access to network resources with the credentials of the machine account.
Local System Full access to the system. This is a very powerful and very dangerous
level of access and should be avoided unless you are certain that the process can't be
compromised.
EXAM TIP
When reading an exam question, watch for phrases such as “using least privilege.” they
are a clue that one or more of the possible answers is likely to be wrong because it uses an
account that has too much privilege. For example, if the action is running only locally and
doesn't need to access network resources, it shouldn't be run as Network Service. and if it
is specified as running as Local System, it almost certainly doesn't meet that requirement
of the question.
