In a hub and spoke technology, one or two hub servers each connect to multiple spokes,
as shown in Figure 2-9. If there is more than one hub, the hubs also connect to each other. A
hub and spoke topology requires a minimum of three members (a hub and two spokes), and
works well in a publication or branch office scenario in which most changes originate at the
hub and are replicated out to the spokes. Changes that originate at a spoke have at least two
replication hops before being fully replicated to all members of the replication group.
