backpackers to it like iron filings, with its fresh-white courtyard and centrepiece pool,
huge bar and lush gardens, Doogles is a good place to stay and it's right near the bus sta-
tion. It has superfresh rooms with mustard-hued walls, clean dorms and chalets.
It also has bikes for hire and internet and wi-fi. Finally, you can pitch your tent here.
But if you want somewhere peaceful you'd better try elsewhere, as it can get a little noisy.

( 01-794572, 01-823474; 19 Henderson St; s/d MK5500/6000; ) Five minutes'
walk from the centre, this old-fashioned place sits in a leafy garden and has cosy - if tired
- rooms with bathrooms and DSTV. There's a welcoming verandah for drinks and break-
fast, and the lady who runs the place glitters with charm. Price includes a huge breakfast.
Careful though of walking back here at night as there has been the odd mugging in the
grounds.
