Stylish, with a glass bar and purple walls, this cocktail bar sits opposite Buchanan's Grill
in a leafy compound. Popular with Malawians and expats both, it puts on live music and
DJ nights, poetry readings and theme parties. It also has a great cocktail menu and tables
outside at which to enjoy them.

Harry's Bar

Owned by Harry (a great person to get the low-down from on local bands
and DJs), this is a lively wood shack dishing up a bubbling atmosphere, live jazz in the
garden and revolving entertainment. A Lilongwe institution and a must for any self-re-
specting hedonist. It's located off Paul Kagame Rd.

Live acts - with a distinctly African flavour - and disco magnet-

(white foreigners) in a fleshpot of sweaty bodies. Great fun.

A fave with local expats; there's a pool table,
volleyball court, darts, global sports on the huge TV and live music at this simple wood
shack affair. Wednesday night is disco night. They also do great barbecued food - the
steaks are huge (MK2000).
