Prime wildlife-watching season continues into dry, warm October, with water
sources scarce and wildlife plentiful. It's an ideal time to travel - very hot in the in-
terior, but still moderate along the coast, with jacarandas abloom.
LAKE OF STARS INTERNATIONAL MUSIC
FESTIVAL (MALAWI)
One of the region's largest spectacles, this three-day music festival features live acts from
around Africa and from the UK. It's held in various places on the lake shore, with pro-
