Bus & Chapa
Beira's main transport hub is in the Praça do Maquinino area, bounded by Avenida Daniel
Napatima and Avenida Samora Machel. There's no real order to things; ask locals where
to go for buses to your destination.

from the TCO office in Bairro dos Pioneiros, 1km north of the centre, and just off Avenida
Samora Machel. For intermediate stops between Beira and Maputo (including Pambara
junction for Vilankulo, and Maxixe for Inhambane), you'll still be charged the full
Maputo fare. For

ternatively, TCO en route to Nampula stops at Nicoadala, from where you can get a

Another option for any northbound or southbound transport is to go to Inchope, a scruffy
junction 130km west of Beira (Mtc130, three hours), where the EN6 joins the N1, and try
your luck with passing buses there, although they are often full and waits are long.

The airport is 7km northwest of town (Mtc200 to Mtc250 in a taxi).
