This unpretentious four-star getaway is at the northwestern end of Bazaruto
island overlooking a small, tranquil bay. Accommodation is in two dozen A-frame chalets
amid lush gardens beneath the sand dunes. There is also a honeymoon suite and some
family-style chalets. There's a two night minimum stay.

Indigo Bay is the largest and most outfitted lodge in the archipelago. It offers a
mix of villas and beachfront chalets, and a range of activities. While it lacks the laid-back
island touch of many of the other places, for some visitors this will be compensated for by
the high level of comfort and amenities.

CHEAP ACCOMMMODATION?
There is no budget accommodation on the islands. The best options if you have limited funds are arranging an island
dhow cruise from Vilankulo, or visiting in the off-season, when some of the lodges offer special deals.
