just up from and diagonally opposite Casa Rex and lacks a beachfront, although the rooms
have views of the sea. It has six well-appointed rooms, classical music piping through the
lobby and a poolside restaurant.

from the beachfront road, this place is light, bright, airy and clean, with well-appointed,
whitewashed stone-and-thatch cottages set in lush, green grounds. There's a restaurant.

Just southwest of the Dona Ana Hotel on the in-
land side of the road, this place has seen better days, although it remains an amenable
choice. Rooms are set around large, lush gardens with two small pools (not operational at
the time of our visit). Most of the rooms have twin beds with shared hot-water bathrooms,
fans and nets. There are also larger rooms with bathrooms, a two-room family cottage and
a scruffy restaurant. Breakfast costs extra.
