jetty, has an enclosed and scruffy but serviceable camping ground overlooking the bay
with reasonable ablutions. You can leave your vehicle here while visiting Inhambane
(Mtc75 per vehicle per day).

CONTINENTAL
Information
Inhambane Province's Department of Immigration (Migração; 7.30am-3.30pm) for
visa extensions, is in Maxixe, one block back from the main road. Turn at Barclay's Bank,
then take the first left; Immigration is just up on the left. No visa extensions are done in
Inhambane town.
There are ATMs at Millennium BIM, just in from the main road near Pousada de
Maxixe, and at Barclays Bank, about 600m further north and just off the N1.
Getting There & Away
Buses to Maputo (Mtc475, 6½ hours, 450km) depart from the bus stand by the Tribunal
(court) from 6am. There are no buses to Beira originating in Maxixe; you'll need to try to
get space on one of those coming from Maputo that stop at Maxixe's main bus stand
(Mtc1000 from Maxixe to Beira). Thirty-seater buses to Vilankulo originating in Maputo
depart Maxixe from about 10am from the main bus stand. Otherwise, chapas to Vilankulo
(Mtc180, 3½ hours) depart throughout the day from Praça 25 de Setembro (Praça de Vil-
ankulo), a couple of blocks north of the bus stand in front of the Conselho Municipal.
