Maputo's main long-distance bus depot for up-country arrivals and departures is
'Junta'
(Avenida de Moçambique)
, about 7km (Mtc300 in a taxi) from the city centre. Most de-
partures are very early, between 2.30am and 5.30am.
Some buses coming into Maputo continue into the city to

, from where it's about Mtc150 in a taxi to central
hotels.
Time your travels to avoid arriving at night.
Manganhela; 8am-5pm)
have their ticket offices and arrival/departure point in the

Nampula
To Nampula (Mtc2500), Maning Nice goes twice weekly, departing Maputo at
3.30am and arriving around 10am the next morning in Nampula, with an overnight stop in
Nicoadala. From Nampula, Maning Nice has a connection on to Pemba, departing Nam-
pula around noon and arriving in Pemba around 7pm.
