Maputo classic, this beachside place draws the crowds on weekend afternoons. There's
seating on the large sea-facing porch or indoors, and an array of seafood dishes and grills,
with prawns the speciality. It's about 5km from the centre at the northern end of Avenida
Marginal.

En route to Costa do Sol (the
turnoff is opposite Clube Marítimo), you buy your fish fresh here, then choose a restaurant
stall in the enclosed adjoining area to cook it. Cooking prices average about Mtc120 per
kilo, and all the stalls also offer rice, chips or other accompaniments on order. Waits can
be long on weekends, but there are shaded tables where you can sit. The best time to visit
is late afternoon.
