In-Depth Information
Kasane in northeastern Botswana - about 12km from Kazungula, the Zambian border crossing - is the northern
gateway to one of the country's gems: magnificent Chobe National Park. Having your own vehicle here is very
handy for accessing Chobe.
Across the border in Namibia is the far-flung town of Katima Mulilo in the spindly northeastern appendage
called the Caprivi Strip, an area with some unique off-the-beaten-path wildlife areas: hidden gems such as Mudu-
mu, Mamili and Bwabwata National Parks. The latter is the easiest and quickest to access.
