Hidden behind a wall
with only 'Korean Cuisine' painted in fading, hard-to-read letters and the parking lot of a
low-slung house, Diane's has a bare-bones backyard garden and small dining room. It
does however have an excellent sel- ection of Asian foods (a variety of hotpots) with an
emphasis on Korean dishes, including
bulgogi
and a superb cook-at-the-table barbecue.

Italian owned and operated, this restaurant located on the Showgrounds serves arguably
the best pizza in Lusaka. Somewhat quirkily decorated, it's nevertheless authentically
Italian in terms of its coffee, wines and well-trained chefs. Live music on weekends and
Wednesday nights.

Forget the Chinese and
grill dishes at the back of the menu and stick to the specialty - Indian. There's a small bar-
terrace area (with a pool for diners in need of a refreshing dip?) and a spacious indoor din-
ing room, offering excellent service. Good veggie options are on the menu, such as a tasty
masala kofta.

Cattleman's Grill $$

As the name
suggests, this is a meat-centric place, pride of of place going to the flame-grilled barbecue
selections. It's a good place to mix with Lusaka expats as well as visiting business types,
in a relaxed atmosphere outdoors under a high thatch roof next to the pool at the Chrismar
Hotel. Live music will often accompany your meal.
