profiles would be impossible. However, microwaves heat by radiation, not
by convection. Thus, the energy absorbed by a material will determine its
temperature. By doping the solder with molecules that readily absorb
microwave energy, the temperature in the solder will rise faster and higher
than the arterial temperature.
How much microwave energy a material absorbs depends on the complex
interaction of microwave with the material. There are literally tens of thou-
sands of molecules with higher microwave absorption than biological tissue
