Klotok Hire
The cost of hiring a klotok varies. The sizes range from small (two to four passengers,
400,000Rp to 450,000Rp per day) to large (eight to 10 passengers, 650,000Rp to
700,000Rp per day), including captain, mate and fuel. Cooks and food are an additional
100,000Rp per person per day. If you stay overnight you'll be charged for two full days so
bargain if you want to come back early.
When you factor in permits and fees, the total cost for a three-day, two-night guided trip
for two people is about 3,295,000Rp, a very reasonable price with seasonal fluctuations
(expect a premium in summer). Note that not all boats have generators, necessary for
