Tutong; 24hr) Brunei's main hospital, with fully equipped, modern facilities. Most of
the senior staff are Western trained. Situated about 2km west of the centre (across the Ed-
inburgh Bridge).
Jerudong Park Medical Centre ( emergency 261 2461, 261 1433;
www.jpmc.com.bn ; Tutong-Muara Hwy; 24hr) Private medical facility; high standards
of care. Located about 27km northwest of the BSB centre, accessible by bus 55.
Money
Banks and international ATMs are sprinkled around the city centre, especially along Jln
McArthur and Jln Sultan. The airport has ATMs, and you can change travellers cheques at
larger hotels.
HSBC (cnr Jln Sultan & Jln Pemancha; 8.45am-4pm Mon-Fri, to 11.30am Sat) Has a
24-hour ATM. You must have an HSBC account to change travellers cheques.
Isman Money Changer (ground fl, eastern bldg, Yayasan Complex, Jln Pretty;
9.30am-7.30pm) Changes cash but not travellers cheques. Just off the central atrium.
Post
Main Post Office (cnr Jln Sultan & Jln Elizabeth Dua; 8am-4.30pm Mon-Thu & Sat,
8-11am & 2-4pm Fri) Has a free internet computer. The Stamp Gallery displays some his-
toric first-day covers and blow-ups of colonial-era stamps.
