Sights & Activities
'Diving' or (rarer) 'snorkelling' is the answer every tourist gives when someone asks
them why they're in Semporna. Scuba is the town's lifeline, and there's no shortage of
places to sign up for it. Operators are clustered around the 'Semporna Seafront', while
other companies have offices in KK. Due to the high volume of interest, it is best to do
your homework and book ahead - diving at Sipadan is limited to 120 persons per day.
Sleeping
If you have to overnight in Semporna, your options are limited - but not dire. If you've
already signed up with a scuba operator ask them about sleeping discounts (and don't be
shy about trying to finagle a good deal, especially if you're sticking around for a while).
