Haidian is packed with an abundant variety of places to visit and explore—both indoors
and out, for kids and adults. This is largely thanks to the region of Beijing that its borders
surround. While Chaoyang is almost entirely urban, Haidian is half urban, half suburban,
giving it a collection of manmade as well as natural attractions. And because the imperial
families pocketed it as their personal playground, there are ancient buildings galore and an
abundance of beautiful lakes.
