Accommodations in this part of town don't come cheaply. Many of the communities are
considered high-level or luxury. Of the well-known ones, Pingguo Shequ is probably the
most affordable, starting at around RMB6,000 for a one-bedroom place. Pingguo is a mod-
ern Chinese complex. This means it has Western toilets and separate showers. However,
apartments are unlikely to have built-in ovens or open kitchens. Fulicheng apartments have
tighter security, are more family friendly, and have more options for style and size. Prices
start around RMB6,500 and climb up to around RMB36,000 for a four-bedroom apartment.
Apartments on the north side of Chang'an Jie are more expensive still. Prices are more
likely to start from RMB7,500 for a one-bedroom and work their way up to RMB40,000
per month for a four-bedroom apartment in Blue Castle or Central Park. For premium-level
luxury, investigate the options at Fortune Heights, where a nice three-bedroom apartment
may cost you or your company RMB60,000 per month.
