Salud, on Nanluogu Xiang, is often a good place to hear some lively music.
While Dongdan Park, just south of Dandan subway station, is a noted gay meet-up point,
those from the LGBT community who'd like to meet in a drinking environment can go to
KTV spot Beijing Tenbar, set in Aihua Hotel northeast of Tiantan Park. Naga Club is the
place for lesbians on Friday and Saturday nights; and Seven Colors, up on Andingmenwai
Dajie, is the place to sing, do a little disco, and be entertained.
Sports and Recreation
Sports (and drinking) enthusiasts will find support via Mashup Sport & Social
(mashupasia.com). The group organizes a wide variety of league competitions, such as
dodgeball, which runs at Dongsi Olympic Community Sports Culture Center near Chaoy-
angmen station, and coed and men's flag football, which is held at Ditan Sports Stadium,
just north of the Andingmen subway station.
As for gyms, if you're willing to foot the typically RMB20,000-plus annual fee, most
five-star hotels in the area will allow you access to their superb facilities and swimming
pools, but other than that, there are many Western-style gyms around the city. Memberships
