Back to Argentina. Word of our arrival had preceded us and the cus-
toms people were waiting outside to grab a photo; they even offered
me a shower if I wished, but I wanted to get a few more kilometres
done before I stopped. As I ran off they yelled 'God bless you, Pat'. It
made me cry.
The crew can feel the finish is only days away—there is mounting
excitement. These have been tough miles for them as well, especially
Katie who has been with me from Canada.

It is now under 200 kilometres to Ushuaia—in striking distance. I joked
on the phone to my friend Larry back in Australia that even if I had to
crawl I could still make it from here. I have finally let my guard down
and am planning the finish.
