We've been robbed again, for the second time in Peru. I was sleeping
in the Winnebago at two o'clock this morning when a noise woke me.
I peered outside and saw a fellow cutting the straps on a gear basket
which contained clothing and shoes. By the time I got up and gave
chase, he had disappeared into the black night. Can't say that I'm
enjoying Peru.
The festival of the Day of the Dead—Día de los Muertos—actually
lasts for three days, from October 31 to November 2. It is a holiday dur-
ing which people honour the memory of those who have passed away
