Getting to Stevens Point from Madison (via I-39, 111 miles) takes 90 minutes. From
Wausau (via I-39, 34 miles), it takes 40 minutes.
By Bus
Lamers bus line (800/261-6600, www.lamers.com ) runs between Wausau and Milwaukee,
withstopshereattheOlympicFamilyRestaurant(200DivisionSt.)andUW-StevensPoint
Health Center, and in New London, Appleton, Oshkosh, and Fond du Lac.

field's livability quotient is also always tops in the state and among the top five in the Mid-
west.
The city is now one of the state's leading dairy research areas and hosts a dairy festival
and regional fair. (At the fairgrounds, check out the world's largest round barn—a lovely
1916 edifice still used to house purebred animals.)
