One of 62 wrecks near Sheboygan, the
Lottie Cooper,
a three-masted lumber schooner,
went down in a gale off Sheboygan on April 9, 1894, killing one. Including one of the
longest salvaged keels of a Great Lakes wreck, the vessel now rests in Deland Park, near
the North Pier.
