In the SCI-BUS project, the Build and Test portal served as quality assurance
portal. Several build jobs for gUSE were run, and automated web tests for the
various science gateways were also performed.
Having a cloud extension to the Build and Test portal enabled users to run
multiple jobs at the same time. Also, the maintenance of the build servers was
seamless due to the professional service provided by cloud operators.
As for user statistics, the Build and Test portal has 25 registered users currently.
Usually, a job instance average execution time is approximately 2 h. Job execution time
strictly depends on the types of jobs submitted. Test jobs run approximately 1 h, build
jobs approximately 3 h. The total number of job instances is in the range of 10,000.
