Karpathos has a large airport with daily links to Athens (€98), Kasos (€44) and Sitia
(€67), and a five flights per week to Rhodes (€45). Buy tickets from Possi Travel ( Click

Scheduled ferries service Agios Nikolaos, Kasos, Milos, Piraeus, Rhodes, Santorini
and Sitia. Buy tickets from Possi Travel. A small local caïque also runs three times
weekly between Finiki (Karpathos) and Fry (Kasos).

Getting Around
TO/FROM THE AIRPORT
Frustratingly, there is no airport bus. Hop in a taxi to get to Pigadia (€25) and beyond.
BOAT
From May to September there are daily excursion boats from Pigadia to Diafani with a
bus transfer to Olymbos (€25). Boats depart Pigadia at 8.30am. There are also frequent
boats to the beaches of Kyra Panagia and Apella (€20). Tickets can be bought at the
quay.
From Diafani, excursion boats go to nearby beaches and occasionally to the uninhab-
ited islet of Saria, where there are some Byzantine remains.
BUS
Pigadia is the transport hub of the island; a schedule is posted at the bus terminus (
22450 22338; M Mattheou) and the tourist info kiosk. Buses (€2, July and August only,
