Main Beach
, to the east of the Acropolis, is sandy with shallow water, making it a per-
fect swimming spot for kids. You can follow a path north to the western tip of the bay to
the smaller, taverna-fringed
Pallas Beach
, beyond which are some rocks you can bathe
on if it gets too crowded. Avoid swimming near the jetty as it's home to sea urchins. A
10-minute walk from town, on the western side of the Acropolis, is sheltered
St Paul's
Bay
. Its turquoise water will make your heart ache.
