corridors are crammed with more statuary than the Acropolis!

We love the vivid style in this 15th-century former Ottoman official's
house; with its heavy antique furniture and eastern rugs, and stained-glass windows
washing the oxblood walls in blue light. The rooms are spectacularly romantic with huge
beds, and tasteful furnishings. Try the split-level ex-harem bedroom.
Outside, the shaded courtyard is lovely for breakfast and dinner, and rings with
laughter and bohemian flair.

This former Ottoman house has seven individual rooms to choose from
ranging from basic to lavish. Our favourite is at the top of the house with a raised cap-
tain's bed. The communal verandah and bar with its sea views and bougainvillea-
crowned ceiling is magical.
There's also a new sun-dappled deck to chill on.
