The port of Kamares always seems to have a holiday atmosphere with its large beach and
waterfront cafes, tavernas and shops. But the real action is up near Apollonia or at more
idyllic bays.

coming, family-run Afroditi has decent-sized rooms across the road from the beach.
Breakfast on the verandah is a definite plus. There are sea views to the front and moun-

(snacks €2.50-5.50) Overlooking the water halfway along the main street and ideal for
people-watching, it does filling breakfasts (€4.50 to €10).
