the harbour are dreamy and it's within stumbling distance of Hora's nightlife. Mingle on
the terrace bar, take a dip in the pool and eat like a king at the breakfast table (€5; con-
veniently served until 2.30pm). To find it, head towards the main square and turn left
down Odos Scholarhiou for 200m. Or ask anyone.
Hermes HOTEL $$$

the road between Hora and Mylopotas Beach, Hermes offers basic, spotless rooms with
sparkling sea views. What ups its ante is the resortlike extras on offer - Thai massage on
the sundeck, barbecues at the pool bar, hammocks and double sunbeds. This place is
young and friendly and feels like a community unto itself.

Far Out Camping & Beach Club HOSTEL, CAMPGROUND $

€100; ) Nearly on top of the beach is this backpackers party haven with
poolside bars, restaurants and everything from laundry to tattooing. They even have
payphones to call home. The 'bungalows' range from small tent-sized affairs to little
'roundhouses' with single and double beds. Studios are in a separate location with all
mod cons.

Ormos
La Randa ITALIAN $

place is the bomb for Italian food. The owner has carted an authentic oven over from
Italy and crafts drool-worthy pizzas and pastas dripping in homemade tomato sauce.
Hora
In addition to Hora's raft of restaurants, there are fast-food outlets sellig gyros (rotisserie
meat with pitta bread), crepes and kebabs until the wee hours near the main square.
