shockingly organised collection of over 10,000 secondhand books. Covering over 10 lan-
guages and genres ranging from sci-fi to westerns to religion and travel, you'll be hard-
pressed to not find something you want to read. Shop or exchange. You'll find it uphill
from the port, behind Meze 2.

(Papavasiliou) The pungent smell will bowl you over as soon as you get through the door.
This cavelike shop is where locals come to buy bulk spices, capers and traditional
cheese. It's crammed with a fascinating array of local produce and goods, from pots and
brushes to soaps, wine, raki (Cretan firewater) and olive oil.

There is no official tourist information office on Naxos. Travel agencies can deal with
