One of Zagorohoria's
finest guesthouses, this 480-year-old restored mansion in placid Dilofo is ideal for any-
one seeking peace and natural harmony. Rooms feature traditional carpets, furnishings
and ornate painted window shutters that, when closed, make you feel you're inside the
hold of a grand seafaring vessel. There's a charming courtyard and views over Dilofo's
cluttered slate rooftops.
At time of research, the friendly and immensely knowledgeable owner, Georgios
Kontaxis, was preparing an exhibit of the amazing antiques he discovered while renovat-
ing the 1633 mansion. Greek, English, German and Italian are spoken here.
