History
In mythology the Pelion was inhabited by
kentavri
(centaurs) - half-man, half-horse
creatures who took delight in drinking wine, deflowering virgins and generally ripping
up the countryside. Not all were random reprobates, however - Chiron, considered the
wisest of the group, was renowned for his skill in medicine.
