in one of the village's stunning original buildings, this renovated option has slightly
cramped rooms, but with creature comforts and contemporary surrounds.
Eating
Most places to eat are on 25 Martiou: head from top to bottom and go where the Greeks
go. Even out of ski season Kalavryta is one of the weekend places for Athenians, so it
has an abundance of trendy bars and cafes.
To Spitikou TAVERNA $
( 26920 24260; mains €6-12; lunch & dinner) Opposite the bus station and off the
beaten track, this cosy place with a ski-lodge feel serves up great-quality traditional tav-
erna meals, many made by the owner's mother.
