The Epidavros Theatre is the venue for performances staged (with both mod-
ern theatre and Ancient Greek dramas) during the annual Epidavros Festival in July and
August (exact dates vary), part of the larger cultural Hellenic Festival. Tickets can be

There are special bus services available from Athens (around €23, two hours) and
Nafplio (around €8, 45 minutes).

There is a choice of restaurants on the main street of Ligourio, several kilometres from
Epidavros.

Getting There & Away
There are buses from Nafplio to Epidavros (€3, 45 minutes, four daily except Sundays)
and two to three daily buses to Athens from nearby Ligourio (around €13, 2½ hours).
