kastro
(castle) from the
1500s sits atop a hill southeast of Argostoli and was the capital of Kefallonia for about
200 years. Well worth a visit for its stellar views, the castle is surrounded by a small vil-
lage with Byzantine churches and restaurants (also with stunning vistas).
